A guerra deve ser sempre o último recurso. A América é grande por causa da nossa contenção, porque nos importamos com as nossas tropas e porque colocamos a defesa antes da guerra.
Iraque, Afeganistão — essas foram guerras evitáveis que mancharam a reputação dos Estados Unidos, causaram danos incalculáveis e deixaram milhares de americanos feridos e mortos em combate e suicídio.
É assim que se parece uma América que prioriza a guerra. Essa é a América que Trump e Hegseth desejam. Mas essa não é a nossa América.
