One of the ways you can get a sense of our momentum and the nervousness within the Clinton campaign is by seeing that they are now using massive amounts of super PAC money, funded largely by Wall Street, against our campaign.
One of those super PACs raised $15 million from Wall Street and the financial industry in the last half of 2015, and is now spending millions of dollars to try and tip the balance of a number of upcoming primaries and caucuses in Hillary Clinton’s favor. And just yesterday alone they reported spending nearly another $500,000.
I don’t have a super PAC, and I won’t go around asking millionaires and billionaires for money. I am humbled that this campaign is funded by more than 4 million contributions made by working people who have had ENOUGH of the billionaire class buying our candidates and elections.
But I am here to tell you that if we are going to win this primary and the White House, we’re going to have to stand together against the influence of Hillary Clinton’s super PACs in this race.
What is happening in these final days before Super Tuesday is that in state after state, the gap is narrowing or we are now forging ahead. Three recent national polls actually show us in the lead. The reason we have so much momentum, and the reason we are doing so well, is because people know that Washington is too busy representing the interests of wealthy campaign contributors to worry about the middle class.
We are going to change that through this campaign, and through our political revolution.
In solidarity,
Bernie Sanders
