There are two ways to run a campaign in a post-Citizens United world.
The first is one that many politicians know well: courting millionaires and billionaires for very big checks, constantly holding big fundraising events, and ending up beholden to your donors. This method now also means being OK with super PACs.
The other way is quite different, and honestly, much more difficult.
But it's the path we chose, and we believe it's the right path.
No super PACs. No billionaire class waiting to step in and save us.
What we have is millions of people willing to stand together and say ENOUGH is ENOUGH.
Our movement has made more than 4 million individual contributions to this effort, at an average of about $27 apiece.
Tomorrow night's FEC fundraising deadline might be the biggest yet of our campaign. If you can, we need you to stand with Bernie.
