Our Revolution

We likely have a very narrow window to defeat the disastrous Trans Pacific Partnership trade deal in the lame duck Congress. We must redouble our opposition to TPP to make sure it fails.

Say you agree with Bernie Sanders that TPP must not come up for a vote – and if it does, it must be soundly defeated.

One of the great challenges ahead of us is defeating the disastrous Trans Pacific Partnership trade deal.

We will have a very, very narrow window to do so in lame duck session of Congress.

While we’ve made great progress in the campaign to defeat the TPP, but we must continue to mobilize. Here's what we believe is happening, and what we need to do to defeat the TPP.

The good news is this: Republican Senate leader Mitch McConnell just said he does not want to vote on TPP this year. And Secretary Hillary Clinton has also said TPP should not come up for a vote in this Congress.

The bad news is Wall Street, corporate America and their representatives in Congress will try to pass this bad trade deal after the election anyway.

As Bernie Sanders has said consistently, the TPP would expand to 12 other nations the same failed "free trade" policies that have already cost millions of jobs and shuttered tens of thousands of factories across the United States.
Make no mistake: if TPP passes, it will further hurt consumers and cost American jobs.

We expect that, as early as the middle of September, the White House will start the process to "fast track" the TPP. From that point, it is likely that Congress must vote within 90 days.

The TPP follows in the footsteps of other unfettered free trade agreements like NAFTA and CAFTA that have been supported by corporate America and that cost America millions of decent-paying jobs.

In the past 25 years, nearly 60,000 manufacturing plants in this country have been shut down, and we have lost almost 5 million decent-paying manufacturing jobs. NAFTA alone led to the loss of almost three-quarters of a million jobs — the Permanent Normalized Trade Agreement with China cost America four times that number: almost 3 million jobs.

These agreements are not the only reason why manufacturing in the United States has declined, but they are important factors.

The TPP would also give multinational corporations the ability to challenge laws passed in the United States that could negatively impact their “expected future profits.” Take for example Trans Canada suing the United States for $15 billion due to their “lost profits” from President Obama’s decision to stop the Keystone Pipeline. Or Vattenfall, a Swedish energy company, has used this process to sue Germany for $5 billion over its decision to phase out nuclear power. Should the people of Germany have the right to make energy choices on their own or should these decisions be left in the hands of an unelected international tribunal?

We face the same threats here at home if the TPP passes.

Virtually every major union and environmental organization in the United States is against the deal. Major religious groups are as well because they know what it could mean for some of the poorest people on the planet.

If we're going to defeat the TPP, all of us need to be involved in not just showing our opposition to this trade deal, but actively working to defeat it by getting organized.

That is why we are asking you today:

. Let's do everything we can to make sure it is defeated.
In solidarity,

Paulo Augusto Lacaz:

Thanks to all of your hard work in our campaign this past year we have transformed American politics.

On issue after issue — making college affordable, progressive taxation, climate change, trade and many others — more and more Americans are agreeing with us. People are ready to take on the 1 percent.

During our campaign we assembled a movement of millions of people ready to fight for the country we know we can become. Election days come and go, but the struggle for economic, social, racial and environmental justice must continue.

We have the guts and the energy to take on the special interests, win critical battles on the most important issues of our time, and redefine what's possible in this country.

Now it's time for all of us to get to work. Please be part of our new organization, Our Revolution.

On August 24 at 9pm ET / 6pm PT, I will address our national network of volunteers live at more than 2,000 organizing meetings across the country. Please attend one of those meetings in your area so you can get involved in the next steps for Our Revolution:

[STOP THE TPP] We need you now

Dear Mr. Bernie Sanders,

                                           CC:Charles Chamberlain,
                                                 Executive Director Democracy for America

Good Afternoon!

I doubt that Hillary Clinton speak against the vote on the TPP, in the "lame duck" session.

She only will issue her opinion after November, when she will support the TPP according to their  supporter Barack Obama.

If she does not now support TPP, but it is possible to occur, since she get do a common lie according to Corporate supporte;  lying to people.

Winning undecided voters . After November she changes of conduct, because she likes to lie and will support TPP.

Sorry, but major victory against corporate power, I think that will not happen with Hillary Clinton as President of the United States of America.

In Solidarity,

Paulo Augusto Lacaz

Sccbesme --

The White House is determined to pass the Trans-Pacific Partnership in the "lame duck" session of Congress after the November election. This is an all-hands on deck moment -- and DFA members like you are stepping up to the challenge.

This week, DFA members scored some important victories in the fight to stop the job-killing, corporate-written TPP. Thanks in part to your petition signatures, Hillary Clinton gave her strongest statement yet against the TPP. At a speech in Michigan this week, she said "I oppose it now, I'll oppose it after the election, and I'll oppose it as President."

The Hill, Buzzfeed, and Politico have all highlighted DFA's role leading the fight to stop the TPP. Robert Reich joined DFA's joint petition with CREDO this week. But there's a lot more work to be done.

DFA and CREDO members continue to urge Hillary Clinton to speak out against a vote on the TPP in the "lame duck" session. And we need to put intense pressure on Democrats to join Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and Hillary Clinton in opposing the TPP.

That's where you come in. The fight to stop the corporate elites who are pushing the TPP will only succeed with your strong support. The next ten weeks are going to decide whether the TPP passes or fails. Are you in?

Please chip in $3 or more to help DFA stop the job-killing, corporate-empowering, economy-wrecking TPP.

The TPP allows foreign corporations to sue the U.S. government before a panel of 3 corporate lawyers so they can undermine our laws that protect workers and the environment. Modeled after past trade agreements that have already cost us millions of American jobs, it would make it even easier for corporations to ship jobs overseas.

The battle to stop the TPP will be won or lost before the November election. Once the election is over, members of Congress won't feel as much pressure to abide by the will of the American people and stop the TPP.

That's especially true for those members of Congress who retired or lost their election -- incredibly, they will get a chance to vote on the TPP in a "lame duck" session. If we're going to stop the TPP, now is the time to turn up the pressure.

Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and Hillary Clinton agree: we should not pass the TPP. DFA members are mobilizing across America for this all-important battle. Will you chip in $3 or more and help defeat the TPP?

Thank you for helping win a major victory against corporate power.

- Charles

 Dear Mr. Barack Obama,

Good Morning!

I know you have a great value as a really USA Statesman.

But lately due to its political commitments with your supporters, you were forced to support Hillary Clinton.

My candidate is Bernie Sanders.

As Bernie Sanders had to support Hillary Clinton, I was very sad!

As Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren will oversee and police her actions together with other American patriot’s politicians; probably she will take more care with her normal lies.

What we can not let Trump is out winner.

But I still think we can resurrect Bernie Sanders depending on many slide said criminals, which she has committed in her political career, against the Peaceful Evolution of Humanity.

I think you can do a reflection for the welfare of the American people and change your position supporting Bernie Sanders for President of the USA and also reviewing your attitude toward TPP.

What a marvelous double would Bernie Sanders and Barack Obama, trimming the edges!

So I will not forget you, Barack Obama; but I'm Bernie Sanders.

I added my name.

Friend --

I am more optimistic about the future of America than ever before.

How could I not be -- after all that we've achieved together? When I took office, we faced the worst recession in 80 years, but we fought our way back. We've seen deficits come down, our auto industry set new records, unemployment reach eight-year lows, and our businesses create 15 million new jobs.

After a century of trying, we declared that health care in America is not a privilege for a few; it's a right for everybody. We've doubled our clean energy production, and brought nearly 200 nations together around a climate agreement that could protect our children from a climate that's beyond saving. Through diplomacy, we shut down Iran's nuclear weapons program.

With your help, we put policies in place to support students with loans, reign in Wall Street's worst excesses, and protect consumers from fraud. And through countless acts of quiet courage, America learned that love is love, and marriage equality is now a reality across the land.

People like you believed we could change this country for the better. So many of you had never been involved in organizing, but you picked up phones and hit the streets, and used the internet in amazing new ways -- and together, we made progress happen.

OFA supporters are some of the best organizers on the planet, and I am so proud of all the change that you made possible. Time and again, you've picked me up. And I hope sometimes I picked you up, too.

Through every victory and every setback, I've insisted that change is never easy, and never quick; that we wouldn't meet all of our challenges in one term, or one presidency, or even in one lifetime. By so many measures, our country is stronger and more prosperous than it was when we started this work together. But there is more work to do.

Our work is not done -- say you'll continue to push for change with OFA:

Barack Obama

Dear Mr Barack Obama,
President of USA

I consulted an American Friend, Mr. Dan McKissack ( about how he thinks on TPP - and he answed:

“ Thanks for the compliment - I always strive to be a gentleman.

At first I had a knee-jerk negative attitude towards TPP, but then became in favor because trade historically has helped nations advance and become more prosperous. Goods were traded as well as new ideas and technologies along ancient trade routes such as the Silk Road linking East to West. Columbus reached the Americas by sailing West seeking a short cut to advantage Spain in the Spice Trade.

Globalization in general and trade agreements in particular like NAFTA has resulted in a great reduction in extreme poverty especially in East Asia and China

""According to the [World Bank's] most recent estimates, in 2012, 12.7 percent of the world’s population lived at or below $1.90 a day. That’s down from 37 percent in 1990 and 44 percent in 1981"".

In the United States globalization has hollowed out the middle-class with the loss of manufacturing jobs but those jobs have been disappearing since the 1970s. The Upper Midwest, New York, and New England are called the Rust Belt for good reason as manufacturers relocated to the Southern States seeking cheaper labor, lower taxes, less restrictive regulations, and greater profits. Eventually the South lost out to cheaper labor, etc found in Mexico and Asia. Because that's what capitalistic multi-national corporations do. Manufacturing jobs returning to the United States are and will be performed by machines not humans. The "good old days" are gone - change is inevitable.

What has hurt the working/middle-class in the US has greatly helped others. "BEFORE the late 1990s China barely had a middle class. In 2000, 5m households made between $11,500 and $43,000 a year in current dollars; today 225m do. By 2020 the ranks of the Chinese middle class may well outnumber Europeans. This stunning development has boosted growth around the world and transformed China.

China, however, will soon have a huge problem as tens, if not hundreds of millions, lose their jobs to automation.

I'm in favor of TPP because it's being written for business by business interests and they should know more about international trade then politicians and government bureaucrats.

As water seeks it's own level, the free market will have to sort out how to distribute wealth in a manner that supports the maintenance of markets necessary to purchase the goods and services produced by capital.

Meanwhile, I advise my grandchildren to learn how to install and repair things like, plumbing, electrical wiring, air conditioners, furnaces, solar-powered energy sources, etc.

In other words work that can't be outsourced or automated easily"

If Bernie Sanders’ Supporters Campaign for him in a Disciplined, Strategic, Sharply Focused Way, he will Win and Win Decisively

It is now clear to all that the DNC, in every way it could find or invent, disenfranchised millions of Democratic Party voters who voted for or had the intention of voting for Bernie Sanders. The DNC, under the corrupt and totally discredited Debbie Wasserman Schultz, rigged everything they could against the popular and ethical Bernie Sanders and in favor of the sketchy, widely disliked and untrustworthy Hillary Clinton. Hillary Clinton, not elected by the membership of the Democratic Party in a democratic process but selected by a tiny Democratic Party elite, principally represents the interests of her backers and sponsors, ruthlessly greedy and exploitative Billionaire Class types such as Goldman Sachs and various other banksters and corporations. The latter includes all those, such as the Clinton Foundation, who profited and grew enormously fat and powerful on the bakc of the bloody and destabilizing regime change wars instigated and promoted by Hillary Clinton, who have for decades mercilessly held down and impoverished hundreds of millions of working-and middle class US citizens. The Democratic Party Establishment seems to expect that their corruption will, as usual, be grumbled about but in the end accepted by a broken and supine people. There are times when those people, for the sake not just of themselves but for the world they wish their children to inherit and grow up in, absolutely must show they are capable of getting up and defending what they believe in. At such times they must unite in their millions, strong against tyranny, even when that tyranny emanates from people habituated to wielding enormous power over them and who pretend to represent freedom and democracy while all the time, for the overwhelming majority of the population they steadily reduce both.

Never give up! They only win if you give up. 2016 Upcoming Elections Schedule - Election Deadlines:

The disreputable elite or oligarchy of Big Money appointees who currently govern and run the DNC for their own ends have always claimed they treated Democratic Party presidential candidates equally and without bias. Now, however, it is revealed that they misled and deceived the nation to a massive extent about that. Most people, given the choice, would not fund a political organization that deliberately lied to and deceived them. Clearly there has been something like a breach of contract here. Unless the DNC can successfully argue in a court of law that it is acceptable and established practice in the US for political parties to misrepresent and lie to their grassroots supporters about their aims and modus operandi in order to secure membership fees and votes, they very much appear to be guilty of perpetrating a huge fraud on the majority of the Democratic Party’s membership.
Bernie Sanders, together with respect for democratic process, has been the principal victim in this scandal and Hillary Clinton the major beneficiary. In the matter of endangering national security for 4 years through her use of a private server Hillary Clinton has proven she is, de facto, way above and beyond the reach of the law and of justice, with even the director of the FBI and the Attorney General covering for her. The nation has now to actively decide whether it is willing to stomach and tolerate such profound corruption in its self-styled “advanced democracy” or whether to demand the rule of law and ethical practices in their political parties and a thorough and immediate cleaning up of the Democratic Party. The situation must either be remedied immediately or the nation is happy to be run by corrupt individuals imposed on them by corrupt political machines that represent a disproportionately powerful but tiny minority. It is damaging and deeply insulting to the people of the US to be offering them nothing better than a very unclear choice between “the lesser of two evils”, fearmongers both as well as warmongers, inveterate liars and supreme manipulators of the public via their control and use of corporate media to misinform and disinform. The people have an unalienable right to demand they be treated with respect by the Establishments of their political parties. The people have the right to be offered a highly popular presidential candidate, someone such as Bernie Sanders, of unimpeachable integrity and honesty, a lifetime of active experience, intelligent vision, dedication to securing the very best for the people, all of the people. It is no more acceptable for Hillary Clinton to be permitted to hold onto her ill-gotten electoral gains than letting any other person who has made a career out of criminal deception or theft hold onto theirs. There is even RICO legislation to make that point. Bernie Sanders must have restored to him what is rightfully his, including the Democratic Party's nomination as their presidential candidate. Debbie Wasserman Schultz was only the tip of the iceberg in the multifaceted and complex electoral scandal of deception and bias now known as #HillaryGate. When we stand together there is nothing we cannot accomplish, but when we are divided, the big money interests will always win.
Bernie Sanders' platform is one he has the integrity to unfold. Hillary Clinton, in order to lure his supporters will promise it all, but item by item she will find reasons not to do anything substantial, radical or progressive. As Barack Obama observed of Hillary Clinton, Hillary Clinton, “She’ll say anything and change nothing.”
Hillary Clinton comes to DNC2016 discredited and morally bankrupt. It is time she stepped aside and allowed a candidate, Bernie Sanders, never so desperate to win at any cost that he would, as Hillary Clinton did, cheat, disenfranchise and suppress voters, lie, deceive, say anything, whether she meant it or not, to win. The only thing Hillary Clinton has going for her is the blackmail “If you don’t vote for Hillary you will get Trump”. Now it looks more and more that “If you vote Hillary, you will get Trump”. For the sake of the Democratic Party and for the people of the US Hillary should have the good grace to step down and endorse Bernie Sanders, especially as she has recently pretended to embrace most of his platform in order to win his endorsement and lure his supporters over to her side, having comprehensively rigged elections against Bernie Sanders. Those who are satisfied with the resignation of the corrupt and corrupting Debbie Wasserman Schultz need to take into account that she was working not for herself but directly for Hillary Clinton. Hillary Clinton never called on DWS to be even handed or honest. It is Hillary Clinton needs to demonstrate to the nation that she is not someone above the law, either when she endangers national security for 4 years through use of her private server or her fully reaping the benefits of a self-selected, self-serving Democratic Party elite’s rigging elections in her favor and against Bernie Sanders. It is a principle that ought to be respected that unethical and/or criminal behavior should never be rewarded, and particularly not be rewarded with the US presidency.

Hillary Clinton, selected by the DNC as their presidential candidate, is struggling to beat probably the least competent Republican candidate you could ever imagine. She ought to be roundly beating him, as Bernie Sanders does in all the polls, but instead is barely keeping her head above water and a scandal or two in the next few months will finish her off completely and make Donald Trump a shoo in. That is all an indication of how desperate the Establishment is to retain its grip on power and install for themselves an amenable Big Money candidate who will, no matter what she tells the electorate, guarantee “business as usual” for the Billionaire Class, with fat contracts for arms manufacturers and dealers, more “regime change wars” and a continuation of the US’s endless war against small weak nations on distant continents, a field day for Big Pharma, Big Oil, Big Gas, corporations such as Walmart and Monsanto, banksters such as Goldman Sachs. The DNC, that self-appointed self-serving elite who govern the Democratic Party, may resist for a little while longer, but even they are beginning to see, smell and feel that the end is coming for Hillary Clinton’s chances of being president. It is up to us to constantly feed that information to them and let them know that the game is over for Hillary Clinton and it is well overdue for her to step aside and make way for Bernie Sanders who will have, especially with the full backing of the DNC, no difficulty at all in defeating Trump.
