Bernie Sanders for President

Paulo Augusto -

One of the reasons we are doing so well in this election is because the American people understand that you cannot change a corrupt political system by taking its money.

Our campaign is funded by almost 4 million individual contributions made by people like you responding to emails like this one. That allows Bernie to spend time doing what you expect a candidate to do: talking to voters.

By contrast, Hillary Clinton left the campaign trail today and is in New York City hosting a fundraiser with financial service executives where self-described “champions” give her campaign the maximum amount of money allowable under the law.

Here’s the truth: The Clinton campaign would not be leaving the campaign trail unless they were finding it difficult to keep pace with our historic numbers of individual contributions. And they also wouldn’t do it unless it was for a grotesque amount of money from a small number of super rich people. Probably at least $500,000.

Let’s double that for Bernie before midnight tonight:

Secretary Clinton is going to a New York City fundraiser today with financial elites. Help us match her fundraising numbers today by adding your contribution now.
There is no more important time for a big fundraising push. The Nevada caucus is in just four days. South Carolina is in 11 days, and Super Tuesday is two weeks from today.

After how far we’ve come and everything we’ve campaigned on, it’d be a terrible loss for our movement if we came up short because of a rush of Wall Street cash.

This is the moment we’ve been waiting and preparing for. If we continue to stand together over these next few weeks, we’re going to win.

In solidarity,

Jeff Weaver
